There are always two ways
to look at everything, I
guess. My wife and I were
sitting at a table at my
high school reunion last
October, and I kept staring
at a drunken lady swigging
her drink as she
sat alone at a nearby
table. My wife noticed me
staring and asked me, "Do
you know her?".
I sighed, "She's my old
girlfriend. I understand she
took to drinking right after
we split up those
many years ago, and I
hear she hasn't been sober
since." "My God!" says my
wife, "Who would
think a person could go on
celebrating that long?"

In the West we have a thing about transsexuals. One
question you here a lot is "what are they?". "Are they men
who are like women or what?".

The existence of transsexuals, hermaphrodites and
transvestites constitute a part of normal human physical,
gender and sexual variety. They have existed since the dawn
of time and they will continue to exist as long as there are
People around the world feel differently about the "trannie"
community. I'm always fascinated about how different we
human beings are.
For example, in Thailand, there is an open acceptance of
transsexuals. Boys who feel like girls on the inside have
recently been given their own bathrooms in some Thai
In Buenos Aires, the trannie community has recently been
given their own park. Trannies are a part of the human
spectrum, celebrated there as just another flower in the
garden of humanity.
In other countries, unfortunately most Western countries,
transsexuals are often harassed, excluded, and punished for
being themselves. In some countries, it is even the practice
to surgically alter genitalia of hermaphrodites at birth. Too
Being around a transsexxual, transvestite or hermaphrodite
doesn't make you one. It doesn't rub off. The only thing that
does rub off is human kindness and compassion. If you
happen to talk to one, and your arm brushes them, what
might just rub off is a very rare human quality. Courage.
